Tirzepatide is an anti-diabetic medication belonging to a class of drugs known as Glucagon – like Peptide-1 Receptor Agonists, or GLP-1 RAs. Tirzepatide is sold under the brand name Mounjaro among others, and is used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and for weight loss. It is injected under the skin once a week and is available in different strengths to accommodate different treatment needs.
